The National Weather Service says that the likelihood of severe thunderstorms causing locally damaging wind gusts has risen for this afternoon and evening.
The NWS also says they cannot rule out the possibility of an isolated tornado.
The greatest risk for any severe weather remains across eastern Pennsylvania and the Delmarva.
Elsewhere, strong southerly winds and localized flooding due to heavy rain remain a threat through tonight.
