Retired Officer Scott A. Smith, badge 127 completed 24 years and five months with the South Whitehall Township Police before retiring on July 7, 2012.
After graduating from Catasauqua High School, he received his certification from the Allentown Police Academy and began his career in law enforcement with the Lehigh University Police Department in 1976. He then served as a patrol officer for the City of Bethlehem Police Department from 1979 until 1988 and on Febraruy 8th, 1988, he was hired by South Whitehall Township Police Department.
