The remnants of post-tropical Depression Debby will impact our region on Friday, bringing potential for tornadoes, damaging winds, and flooding across the entire area, according to the National Weather Service.
According to Bobby Martrich, meteorologist with EPAWA, showers and periods of rain are expected to be ongoing early in the morning, picking up in intensity during the late morning and early afternoon in Central PA.
Heavier rain will spread eastward as the post-tropical depression and its associated frontal boundary moves through the region from west to east during the course of the afternoon and evening hours, according to Martrich.
According to Martrich, the most significant rainfall from these remnants is expected on Friday afternoon through early evening.
Martrich says significant rainfall may occur on the order of 2-4" across Central PA. but 1-2" is more likely in the far eastern part of the state.
