EASTON, Pa - Police in Palmer Township are advising drivers that traffic will be temporarily shut down for the annual Easton Area High School parade on Wednesday evening, and they should expect congestion.
The Easton Area High School (EAHS) will be hosting its annual parade ahead of the Thanksgiving day football game against Phillipsburg High School.
The parade is scheduled to leave the EAHS lot at the S.25th Street (exit/entrance) at 5:15 pm, according to the press release.
The parade will travel north on S.25th to Wood Ave, north on Wood Ave, to Northampton St, and east on Northampton St to Cottingham Stadium.
Police are asking people to avoid S.25th Street.
The following roads will be closed:
South 25th Street: CLOSED between Northampton St and William Penn Hwy
Wood Ave: CLOSED between Northampton St and S.25th St
Nazareth Rd: CLOSED between Sales and Northampton St (south travel lanes)
Northampton St: CLOSED between Corporate Dr and Wood Ave (east and west travel lanes)
RT 22 east exit ramp at S.25th St will be directed to turn left (north on Nazareth Rd) ONLY.
