'Shave for the Brave' was a huge success at Emmaus High School

EMMAUS, Pa - "Shave for the Brave" took place Friday from 5 to 8 pm at Emmaus High School.

The event was held to raise money for pediatric cancer research through The St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Over 100 people shaved their heads and people donated.

Over $70,000 was raised in just three months, according to the volunteer event organizer, Shannon Petrunak who works as an English teacher at the high school and coaches track.

20 barbers lent their time and talents yesterday. There were also lots of basket raffles.
