BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Three students received minor injuries after an SUV hit a school bus head-on in Bethlehem on Wednesday, according to the Bethlehem Police Department.
The bus was heading east on E. 4th Street near the intersection of Edwards Street when the SUV collided with it head-on at around 2:10 p.m., as reported by the district Wednesday.
There were fourteen Executive Academy Charter School students on board at the time of the accident, according to BASD.

According to a media release from the police, three of those students on the bus had minor injuries and were taken by Bethlehem EMS to an area hospital for treatment.
The bus driver and driver of the SUV also reported minor injuries, but neither of those drivers were transported to the hospital, according to police.
Video from the school bus, as well as witnesses statements indicated the SUV was traveling westbound on 4th St., and crossed over the double-yellow line and into the school bus’s path of travel.
The operator of the SUV was issued summary traffic citations for reckless driving, careless driving, driving on roadways laned for traffic, and driving on the right side of roadway.
No violations were noted for the operator of the school bus, according to the media release.
Both the school bus and SUV were towed from the scene.
