LEHIGH CO., Pa. - Lehigh County District Attorney Holihan has released information on the death of a man who was charged with the killing and dismembering of his roommate back in May of 2024.
34-year-old Joshua D. Moser of Slatington was found alone in a single jail cell Saturday, according to the District Attorney.
Moser had been charged with the killing and dismembering of his roommate, 37-year-old David Hittinger in May of last year. Hittinger’s body had been dismembered and scattered in multiple locations.

Officials say Moser was discovered by staff who attempted to perform life-saving measures and was taken to the Emergency Department at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus where he was pronounced dead.
The coroner said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding this investigation, and was ruling the manner of death as suicide.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, January 13 at the Lehigh County Coroner's Office and Forensic Center.
Moser faced charges of Criminal Homicide, Abuse of a Corpse, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
