State Police advise public on upcoming traffic disruptions in Allentown and throughout the region for Tuesday

BETHLEHEM, Pa - Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troop M – Bethlehem is

advising the public of anticipated traffic disruptions on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in

Hanover Township (Lehigh County) and the City of Allentown.


Although the State Police did not say why the roads would be closed, Republican Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump is scheduled to speak at the PPL Center in Allentown at 7 pm with doors opening at 3 pm. Originally it was scheduled for 6 pm.


State Police are advising the public to anticipate traffic delays and intermittent road closures

throughout the evening hours between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm in the following areas:


• Airport Road in Hanover Township

• American Parkway in Allentown

• Throughout Downtown Allentown


It is anticipated these traffic disruptions will cause other roads throughout the region to also be

impacted, according to the news release.


Officials in the Allentown School District also announced schools will be closed Tuesday due to a planned political rally in the city.
