BETHLEHEM, Pa - Update - The victim of the shooting has passed away, according to the Lehigh County coroner.
Altaron Amir Robinson of Allentown was pronounced dead Friday at 3:22 p.m. at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem.
The coroner has ruled Robinson's death as a homicide, an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
The suspect involved in the shooting in the area of Governor Wolf Elementary School Thursday evening, September 26 is now in custody, according to the Bethlehem Police Department.
17-year-old Gianni Santini is charged with attempted homicide and robbery, among other offenses, according to Santini's court docket.
The teenager is also being charged as an adult. The DA says it's due to "the nature of the charges and the use of a deadly weapon." The DA's Office added, "The factual circumstances surrounding the shooting are known to police and the shooting was not a random act."
On Thursday evening at approximately 9:27 pm, the Bethlehem Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 1900 block of Butztown Rd, according to a news release.

The caller reported a male victim had been shot at this location, and the suspect fled on foot.
Arriving officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the body, and immediately rendered first aid.
Bethlehem EMS arrived, and transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Those on the Facebook page of What's going on in the Lehigh Valley commented Thursday evening that they were anxious about the suspect being on the loose.
Governor Wolf Elementary School was closed on Friday to allow police to investigate the area. They also said the shooting did involve the school.
