Enchanting, the Texas rapper known for her unique voice and impactful lyrics passed away at age 26.
On Tuesday, June 11, the Texas-based artist's sister Kay Jay confirmed the news in a post on X. She included a photo of her and Enchanting, born Channing Nicole Larry, with a somber caption. "I love you girl 💔," she wrote.
Artist CJ Kasino also confirmed Enchanting's passing in an emotional Instagram post."They Pulled The Plug Bro This S**t So F**ked Up I Just Knew You was Finna Pull Threw 😩💔 @luvenchanting You gone Forever Be Stop6 Princess & Kasino First Lady," he wrote.
“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant,” Gucci wrote in a social media post Tuesday.

Enchanting, whose real name is Channing Nicole Larry, signed with 1017 Records in 2020 and departed after the release of No Luv in 2022, followed by its deluxe version, Luv Scarred / No Luv, the next year.
Coi Leray, who collaborated with the rapper on her “Freaky Deaky” track, also shared a tribute to Enchanting Leray wrote on Instagram, “My heart broken praying for Enchanting friends and family. R.I.P.” In a second post, Leray added: “Check on your strong friends. You just never know what someone is going through. Shit deep under the surface.”
In 2023, Enchanting was featured on the soundtrack for RAP SH!T, a television series by Issa Rae on Max. The lineup included established rap stars like Kaliii and Sexyy Red, as well as upcoming acts such as Cleotrapa and NCognita. Enchanting collaborated with Maiya the Don on "He Can’t Reach," Omeretta the Great on the track "Want No Beef," and with Atlanta rapper Kaliii on "Run It Up."
`In a previous statement, Enchanting said, “Staying in the studio and constantly recording, it helps me find the style I can be good at. “It’s like Trap-n-Blues,” she wrote when describing her style of music. “Other people can relate to the things I say. I might help somebody through any situation, they can listen to me and find peace.”
According to I Heart, she passed away hours after she was placed on life support.
