Thousands still without power after storms swept through the Lehigh Valley Wednesday evening

Are you still without power today? If so, you are not alone.

Many in the Lehigh Valley are still in the dark after a powerful storm swept through our area Wednesday evening.

High winds knocked down trees, wires, and utility poles. Many photos and videos were posted to our What's Going on in the Lehigh Valley Facebook page of the damage in and around the Lehigh Valley.

Earlier today PPL said there were about 6600 outages, mostly in Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties. Met-Ed also reported about 2000 outages in Northampton County.

Several thousand customers in Warren and Hunterdon counties in western New Jersey are also still in the dark.
