BOCA RATON, Fla. - A small aircraft (Cessna 310) crashed along a busy street in Florida Friday morning, resulting in three fatalities and one injury.
The six-seater plane went down on North Military Trail near Butts Road in Boca Raton at approximately 10:20 a.m., as reported by the city’s police department.
The Federal Aviation Administration said three individuals were aboard the Cessna 310R, which had departed from the nearby Boca Raton airport around 10:20 a.m.

During a Friday press conference, Boca Raton Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Michael LaSalle said dispatch received a call at about 10:12 a.m. "for a plane in trouble."
"The aircraft apparently had some mechanical issues and went down here on Military Trail," LaSalle said.
“Three souls were on board, and we can confirm they were all fatalities,” a fire official told reporters.
FlightAware data indicates that the small plane circled the area for around 20 minutes before crashing, scattering debris across the road and train tracks.
A fourth individual, driving along North Military Trail during the incident, suffered non-life-threatening injuries after passing through a fireball.
Fire Rescue said the person on the ground was injured after hitting a tree because of debris and fire caused by the crash.
Investigators have not revealed the identities of the victims.
The plane was scheduled for a 430-mile trip to Tallahassee International Airport.
Footage recorded by a bystander showed burning pieces of the aircraft strewn across the road and a charred car that had crashed into a tree.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
