Three people rescued from Lehigh River in East Penn Township over weekend

E. PENN TWP., Pa. - According to WFMZ News, emergency crews rescued three people caught in the Lehigh River over the weekend.


It happened around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday in Carbon County.



According to a 69 News photojournalist at the scene, three people on a raft got caught in the area of Bowman's Island in East Penn Township.


Rescuers were able to get everyone out of the river without being hurt, according to the news article.
