People often ask questions as to how things like this can happen.
According to Jersey Coast Emergency News, "When a boat turns on, the propellers turn in a way that sucks in whatever is around it. If someone is swimming near your boat turn off the boat. Boat strikes are the number one cause of injury. Alcohol is the number one reason for accidents on the water. It’s important to be extra safe on the water as incidents are preventable."

This is so tragic. Please keep the family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
