Two more people die from wrong-way accident on Route 22 in Northampton County

BETHLEHEM, PA


According to authorities, both a Summit Hill man and a Bushkill Township man have passed away following the wrong-way accident earlier this month in Bethlehem Township. Previously, the driver of the Honda Civic, John Woodburn, age 22 of Bethlehem died at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma. His death was ruled an accident.



The Lehigh County Corner's Office says Barry Fulton, age 58, of Summit Hill, PA was pronounced dead on Sunday just before 7:45 p.m. at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem. The cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle collision, according to the Coroners report. His death is being ruled an accident.


The Northampton County Coroner's Office says Alan Heater, age 76, of Bushkill Township, PA died on Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus as a result of the injuries he sustained in the motor vehicle accident.



The accident took place on October 5 just after 10:40 a.m. on Route 22 at the Route 33 interchange in Bethlehem Township and involved three vehicles. The vehicles involved were a red Chevrolet Silverado, a black Chevrolet Silverado, and a Honda Civic, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.


According to police, Fulton was the operator of the red Silverado that struck the Honda Civic, and the black Silverado driven by Heater.
