United Airlines flights are resuming after a brief nationwide ground stop due to a computer issue, according to the airline.

Earlier today, United Airlines announced the following:

"We are experiencing a systemwide technology issue and are holding all aircraft at their departure airports. Flights that are already airborne are continuing to their destination as planned. We will share more information as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience as we work on a resolution to get you on your way as soon as possible."

The ground stop lasted approximately 15 minutes.

Approximately one hour later, United Airlines resolved the issue.

Planes on the ground were being held, while other flights were continuing their routes.

The ground stop delayed 211 flights nationwide.
