ALLENTOWN, Pa. - According to WFMZ News, First Lady Jill Biden landed in the Lehigh Valley and she's headed to downtown Allentown to meet with Latino leaders.
The First Lady landed at Lehigh Valley International Airport just before 1:40 p.m, according to the news report. She is now traveling to Lehigh Carbon Community College's downtown Allentown campus.
Biden will be meeting with local lawmakers, including Congresswoman Susan Wild where.
they're set to talk about possible education and workforce development across the region.
The event is geared toward the Lehigh Valley's Hispanic community and was coordinated with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Some Republicans say the first lady's visit is for damage control after Joe Biden's less-than-stellar debate performance last Thursday, but according to Wild, today's event was planned "some time ago."
First Lady Jill Biden is expected to visit Lehigh Carbon Community College at 2 p.m.
