ALLENTOWN, Pa -
Thursday morning Allentown Police and EMS responded to Wiliam Allen High School after a report of an active shooter.
Police and ambulances began to arrive at the high school around 10:20 a.m.
Allentown Police searched and cleared the school confirming that there was no active shooter and no threat. The lockdown was lifted and school resumed on an adjusted schedule.

The Allentown School District released the following statement: WILLIAM ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL LOCKDOWN -
School administration immediately placed the school in lockdown. During this lockdown, the Allentown Police Department conducted a search of the entire school to determine that there was no threat or active shooter. The lockdown has since been lifted and regular classes have resumed on an adjusted schedule. In response to this incident, our School Crisis Intervention Teams and District Central Office Intervention Team which includes administrators, social workers, school counselors, psychologists, and community partners are available to provide support to students and staff.
