Wilson Police respond to what they believe is a hoax

On Friday morning Wilson Police received a report of multiple people being shot and were dispatched to the 2400 block of Hay Street.


According to the social media post, officers checked the area and a residence but were unable to verify the call.



At this time, the police believe the incident to be a hoax and are actively investigating.
