Winter Light Spectacular canceled for tonight, reopens tomorrow

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa - Due to a forecast of rain throughout the evening, Winter Lights Spectacular at Lehigh Valley Zoo has been cancelled tonight, Friday, Nov. 22, according to a press release.

The event is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 23, at 5 p.m.

All ticket holders for tonight’s event will receive an email with rescheduling instructions.

This first cancellation of the event in 2024 comes after WLS had its best Opening Weekend in its 11-year history.  The zoo welcomed 4,653 guests from Nov. 15-17 – surpassing the previous best Opening Weekend, in 2020, by a whopping 1,514 guests. Last year, WLS sustained its second-highest total of cancellations (5) en route to setting an annual attendance record of 59,750.

This year, Winter Light Spectacular opened Nov. 15 and was scheduled to run for 38 dates through Jan. 4, 2025.
